The Yucca Moth is a small white moth found in Lyndhurst on only a single plant (Yucca filamentosa, or Adam's Needle). The caterpillars are not well known, but I have found and collected a few. They feed in the stems of the plant, and have no legs. The moths are generally found inside the flowers, and seldom live more than five minutes in captivity. They are likely somewhat rare in the region and should be noted when found.
