Saharan Mustard

Brassica tournefortii

Description 6

Look for basal leaves, often deeply lobed; smaller plants may not have lobed leaves (see fifth photo). Flowering stem is solitary in smaller plants, but the stems of larger plants will branch, sometimes prolifically. Stems are topped by yellow flowers above and have long, narrow, slightly beaded fruit below. Plants can range from 10 centimeters to a meter tall. Seeds are sticky when wet and can stick to shoes, clothes and tools.
