Blanus mariae

Summary 1

Blanus mariae is an amphisbaenian species in the family Blanidae. It is found in southern Spain, southern Portugal, and Gibraltar. It forms a cryptic species complex with Blanus cinereus. It is named in honour of Maria Rosario Aguilar Tortajada, the grandmother of Eva María Albert, one of the scientists who described the species.
