Sanicula odorata, synonym Sanicula gregaria, common names Yellow-flowered sanicle, fragrant snakeroot, or clustered black snakeroot, is a flowering plant native to eastern North America, east of the great plains. It is common in moist woods, becoming rarer at the southern and westernmost parts of its range where its habitat becomes less common.
