Habitat and range 3

Found in high to mid rocky intertidal zones (often near freshwater inputs) and in protected bays and estuaries from Alaska to Mexico (MAC).

Morphology 3

Previously Enteromorpha intestinalis. Tubular at base, often tears towards end and opens flat. 4 – 20 cm long. Can be distinguished from Ulva clathrata by lack of branchlets.
