Morphology and identification ⁴

Flat thalli (up to ~ 15cm) with evenly notched apices, blue iridescences underwater, smooth margins. Can be confused with Dictyota coriacea except D. flabellata is thinner (3 cells), shorter, and end branches are not mitten-like.
