Kahn River, Namibia (Google, OSM) Out of range! Details Hide details

Description

This frog was found in the Kahn River [in Swakopmund District, about 20 km NE of Arandis] (dry 95% of the year) in a small puddle of water (with 3 others of the same species). On the canyon wall above the pond several geckos (Rhoptropus bradfieldi) were observed and a seldom seen snake, the Western Keeled Snake (Pythonodipsas carinata) was also found.

T. marmorata is far out of range. I suggest T.tandyi.

That's what marmorata is more likely to look.

It's possible, Joachim that it is tandyi, however when I found this frog in 1986 that species was not yet described. Thanks for your input.
