Eastern Garter Snake (Thamnophis sirtalis) found rather usually in a tree along Snake Road, Illinois
Wow, in a tree? Did someone put it there?
It's possible someone put it there, although I doubt it. Most of the people going to Snake Road aren't folks who would do such a thing. My guess would be that it fell from the bluff and just caught the branch on the way down.
