Description
I have the picture turned upright on my machine, but it uploads to iNat sideways. Is there any way I can fix this?
Cool - thanks. The photo in the Phillips guide shows them as white, but the text does indeed read "...buff brown with age", and the rest of the description seems to fit too. Thanks!
iNat performs rotations based on the EXIF tags on your photo. Some cameras will add these orientation tags, and occasionally they're off if you're pointed straight up or down. You can correct this by removing the tags using your photo editing software and uploading it again. We should probably build in some simple image rotation tool too.
Howdy, I changed things a bit so we only rotate based on EXIF tags if the photo comes from one of our mobile apps. I'm hoping it won't cause more problems than it fixes, but we'll see.
That's great. I re-uploaded older images which were still sideways, and iNat now successfully displays these with correct orientation - great! Many thanks!

Looks like some dryed up oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus)

OK! - thanks much. Will have at go at fixing this at some point when I have a bit of time...
