That's certainly the closest match I can see on MPG or BG. BOLD has no specimens of this species and the LepSoc seasonal summary database has no Texas records, but the species is on the Knudson/Bordelon checklist (2010 ed.).

Looking back through my unid. micros, I see I photographed this same moth here in Austin on Oct. 12, 2012, and Apr. 21, 2013 (neither on iNat yet) and placed these VERY tentatively in Amydria (Acrolophidae) but that was complete guesswork. I like your suggestion better.

Well, even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then! It is a beautiful moth and I suspect sometimes knowing nothing helps in that I don't know WHERE to start on some of these moths.
