A little bit closer would be nice, but it's not bad. Definitely an arthropod, maybe a bee. There are many species, so be careful when identifying it for coloration, and that it could either be a worker, queen, or drone.

Yeah, sorry I couldn't (wouldn't) get any closer to the subject. Is there a way to submit multiple photos for a single observation? It may be easier to identify with multiple angles. A friend had said it was a yellow jacket, but I knew it wasn't that. This was larger than a typical bee I've seen, and fuzzy like a bee.

If it's not obviously identifiable, should I just delete the observation?

Thanks for your feedback!

I cannot see the abdomen at all; is it shiny? If it is, then this could be a carpenter bee. I've seen them out and about already this year. If the abdomen is fuzzy or dull, this is more likely a bumble bee of some sort.

It was extremely fuzzy. The hairs were much longer and the bee much larger (maybe twice as large) than what I would call a typical honey bee.
