I originally ID'd this based on gestalt, but I've since learned that there all these other species in Chamaesyce and now I'm more hesitant about adding IDs. Do you know what the stipules referenced in the Jepson key are?

thinking polycarpa, based on how conspicuous the cyathium is, and given the coastal location (we generally only get albomarginata inland along this part of LA). @nathantaylor7583 ?

@silversea_starsong, you got it. Looking at the stipules in the larger picture, there are a couple young ones that are clearly divided (top-leftish).

good spot, I didn't think to look for stipules in a dorsal image. To be fair they are usually completely parallel to the ground...
