I can't decide whether this is C. aurata, or the look-alike, Protaetia cuprea.

Presence on a rather small and remote island is interesting.

@borisb It would be rather out of range for P. cuprea which is mostly northern in the UK. However, C. aurata is known to be common on the Isles of Scilly.

Hi tiggrx,

The deep green colour suggests C. aurata (about 95% safe) - but both spp. are variable.
