Coordinates completely hidden from public maps, true coordinates only visible to you and the curators of projects to which you add the observation. Observations with private coordinates will still be used to verify place check lists.
You're probably right. I guess I usually think of Garter Snakes as having less defined stripes but there seems to be a lot of variation in how they look.

Looks like the the closely-related species, Common Garter Snake, to me. Ribbon Snakes are somewhat thinner, and have a different coloration.
