Description

Many small twigs produced on the main trunk between the main whorls of branches. The bark is relatively thick, gray-brown, breaking into furrows and rounded ridges, and is only slightly scaly. The needles are evergreen, borne singly and at right angles from all sides of the twig and are about 1.6 to 3 cm long. Seed cones are green or violet.
