The Smilax was found behind a house on 3800 Hickory Grove Road. It was growing at the beginning of a trail that leads down to the lake. The trail is almost a mile long, and the Smilax was not close to the water.

The Hickory was found directly on the trail to the lake behind 3800 Hickory Grove Road. I was growing up onto the trail, and was impossible to miss. The Hickory was small, and appeared to be very juvenile.

The Elm was found in the lot beside 3800 Hickory Grove Road, and was not on any particular path or trail. It was in a thicket where an old fence separated two old farming fields to the right of the house.

The female Cedar was found between the drive way and the house of 3800 Hickory Grove Road. The tree is impossible to miss.
The male tree was found directly behind the House in the back yard.

The Maple was found across the river / lake from 3800 Hickory Grove Road. I kayaked across the water, and found this not to far from the bank.

This Elm was found directly off of the road as you pull into the drive of 3800 Hickory Grove Road. The tree was not in any shade, but did have other competitive trees around. It was not anywhere close to a water source.

Non native tree that occurred with other Osage orange trees. the tree was found beside the river on both sides in groups. The trees where directly off of the trail beside the water.

Found in the yard of a home close to 3800 Hickory Grove Road in Murfreesboro Tennessee. The Hibiscus seemed to have been planted by the owner, but I am not certain of that. It was found growing in the front yard of 3800 Hickory Grove Road.

The Sugarberry was found in a few places around 3800 Hickory Grove Road. The specimen was gathered from the back yard. It was not very far from the back door of the house.

Chinkapin Oak (Quercus muehlenbergii)Observer

This Oak was found beside the Sugarberry in the back yard of 3800 Hickory Grove Road. The tree was easy to see, and stood tall over all the others. The root system was protruding out of the ground into the back yard grass.

This Oak was found at the beginning of the trail on the way to the top of House Mountain. The tree was directly off of the trail.

The Sassafras was found on the ridges of the mountain around three fourths of the way up. It appeared pretty regularly once the hike had gained elevation.

The Pine was found on the very top of the mountain at the lookout. The tree was standing firm beside massive boulders that created an overlook on the mountain.

The Mulberry was found almost three fourths of the way up the mountain close to where the sassafras began to appear. The Mulberry had distinctive massive leaves that drooped over the trail.
