Description

A medium sized shrub, ranging around 5-9 feet tall, and 3 to 6 feet wide. The leaves are alternate with an ovate shape, and are silvery-white in colour, although sometimes may appear brown underneath. Leaves are 1.5-3.5 inches long, and 0.75-1.25 inches wide. Produces yellow flowers in the Spring (⅓ inch long).

Description

Usually grows to be about 20-25 meters tall, and a trunk width of approximately 20-80 centimeters. The bark is fairly smooth, and ranges from greenish-white to grey in colour, along with distinct black horizontal stripes and black knots. The leaves are 4-8 centimeters in diameter and 3-7 centimeters long, making the leaves appear round. The leaves also have tiny rounded teeth. 4-6 centimeter long catkins are produced in early spring, dispersing their seeds (white fluff) in summer.

Description

Generally grows to be 1.5-4 meter tall and 3-5 meters wide. Branches and twigs are unique to most other shrubs as they are dark red in colour. The leaves are opposite, ranging from 5-12 centimeters long and 2.5-6 centimeters wide, creating an ovate shape. Produces small white flowers in clusters (5-10mm wide), and globose white berry (5-9mm wide) in the Spring.
