Description

A smaller shrub only about 2 feet tall with dull brown rigid branches. Had small round black berries stemming off of the branches. The leaves themselves also varied in colour as some were green, while others were orange or yellow. There were only a couple of these bushes in the area.

Description

A large deciduous tree that was over 20 feet tall with flakey bark that was a grey colour. The leaves greatly ranged in colours from yellow to orange to green. Most of the fruit had already fallen off or were dried up, there were few ripe berries left on the tree that were a deep red colour. This was the only specimen in the area.

Description

The shrub was about 5 feet tall that surrounded a large tree. It's bark varied in colour, from a light red near the berries to a green, brown branches. The berries on the shrub were already dried up and black. The leaves had a felt-like texture with grooves on the veins of the leaves.

Description

This shrub was a medium size and was about 4 feet tall and had brown smooth bark. Its leaves were very small and were arranged in an alternate fashion, giving it a "stringy" look. There were two of these specimens in the area.

Description

A small shrub that was about 2 feet tall. The bark of the shrub was a deep red colour and elongated leaves that had a felt-like texture to them on the top of the leaf. Only the bottom half of the specimens in the area had leaves, the top halves were completely bare. This specimen appeared fairly frequent as there were a few of the them in the area.

Description

A large deciduous shrub that was roughly 7 and a half feet tall with leaves that were a bright green almost yellow colour. The bark of the shrub was a green brown colour. The leaves on the shrub were very thin and every structure within the leaf is completely visible. This was the only specimen in the area.

Description

This shrub is about 8 feet tall with light brown branches. The leaves on this shrub opened out away from the branch they are on. There were small right red berries growing on the shrub, typically in clumps of two or three, but some were beginning to dry up. There were only a couple of these organisms in the area.

Description

A very large tree that was well over 40 feet with a trunk of at least 1.5 feet in diameter. The bark was a dark grey and the leaves were oval shaped with parallel veins.The leaves of this tree have appear distinctly to be serrated around their edges. This species appear to be quite frequent in the area, at least 4 or 5.

Description

Very large tree well over 35 feet with a trunk roughly 1 foot in diameter. The bark was patchy with very dark grey patches and light grey patches and appeared to be very chunky. The leaves were very large and formed a triangular shape. There were a few of this specimen in the area.

Description

A very large shrub that ranged from 1-5 high and the specimen I observed appeared to be several of the shrubs all together with other smaller shrubs in the area as well. The bark was a light brown colour and the needles appearing webbed.

Description

A fairly large coniferous tree that was about 14 feet tall with light brown branches. The needles were roughly half an inch in length and pointed up and out from the branch and varied in colour from a blue colour to a deep green colour. This specimen appeared quite frequently in the area of about half a dozen.
