Description

this shrub has dark brown stems that change into lighter grey/ brown as they reach the ends.

small dried flowers appear at the end of the branches, these are light Brown in colour, as per the winter foliage

this is a small bush not exceeding 1 m in most cases.

It is very common along the edges of our area but much less common in the interior where more trees are present.

Description

bark is darker brown and flaky
tree is medium height between 10-15 m in height.

contains visible cones that are grey and about 5 cm in length, they occur at the end of most branches.

the needles are long cone shaped and approx half a mm thick and two mm in length.

this was the only observed tree of this species in our area

Description

medium-tall trees approx 15-20 m in height

the bark is grey to brown and flaky, not smooth

needle covered branches go up the whole tree from bottom to top.

no visible cones due to winter foliage

Needles are green except for the ends of branches in which they become blueish.

Description

Medium height shrub type plant. 3.5 m at the highest

light grey and green bark that is fairly smooth,

small yellowish berries on the ends of some branches

fairly common in the area, many bushes mixed in with the taller trees, not as common on he areas edges.

Description

This tree has darker bark compared to the other trees around it. it also contained seed pods that spin when dropped. No leaf vegetation due to winter foliage conditions.

Large tree approx 15 m in height

Many off shooting stems and branches

Not common in this area, only one observed mature plant was found.
