A rolled up pill bug next to a pair of juliform millipedes.
A flock of turkeys blocking the road like they own the place.
I saw a couple of these brown scorpions today, maybe an inch long at the most, and even a tiny white baby scorpion. so cute!
A pair of juliforms and a pillbug. I believe the one on the right is the same as this individual, just with different lighting (this was with my camera and flash, the other with my phone, no flash)
Parajulidae? something else? This was a very active millipede, and thrashed about in my hand then tried to run away rather than just coiling up like the other juliforms seen today.
red legged juliformian. Julidae? Parajulidae?
Garden slugs, plus some black wormy things. Terrestrial flatworms maybe?
Avocet and chick!
apparently hunting for prey on a canal bank
Seen inside of the border of Desolation Wilderness
Found in rotten wood along the trail just outside of Desolation Wilderness. My current best guess is Bdellozonium or Buzonium based on the photos here
Andricus sp? These conical galls were very abundant on certain trees, on both sides of oak leaves.
