Seen inside of the border of Desolation Wilderness

Andricus sp? These conical galls were very abundant on certain trees, on both sides of oak leaves.
Bryozoan colonies, some attached to tule stems.
not certain of species: looks like there's couple of "Devil's Claw" species in the genera Ibicella and Proboscidea
While I'm pretty sure this is a Redwing nest, that's a cowbird egg, so I'm curious as to the identity of the hatchling.
