Description

Yellow-orange convex cap with remnants of a frosty white universal veil. Close, creamy gills and the stipe appears equal, but it looked like ants were previously using it. Found alone and mychorrizal with Doug-fir.

Description

Translucent white toothed jelly fungus found on conifers and their twig litters. Tongue-shaped with 2-4 cm stem and gelatinous texture. Spiny under-surface. No distinct smell or taste.

Description

Young to mature Turkey-tail found on a rotting Sitka spruce. Striped colors on cap ranged from coffee brown, cinnamon, and pale white. Whitish pore surface with 4-6 pores per mm. Smell is mild, but pleasant. Fruiting body is thin and flexible.

Description

Burnt-orange colored Candy cap found between Parking Lot C and Seminar C building. Milky latex upon puncturing gills. Whitish spore print. Mild smell and taste, but maple-sweet smell and taste when dried. Very unique edible used for seasoning desserts.

Description

Grouped sulphur tuft found along a trail. Yellow-orange convex cap with lighter yellow margin. Greenish gills on hymenium. Bright yellow stipe with rusty brown scales at base. Mild smell, but extremely bitter taste.

Description

Found in a twig litter near a stream. Pale lilac colored cortinarius with coffee brown gills. Convex cap surrounded by a silky white partial veil and cortina veil structure. Mild but pleasant smell that my spouse described as "beer sweet." Bitter taste.
