Location: Growing in back yard next to some white pines.
Description: Tall tree, low hanging branches, some pest damage at time of collection.
Associated species: pignut hickory (Carya glabra), mockernut hickory (C. tomentosa), bitternut hickory (C. cordiformis), and shagbark hickory (C. ovata); American elm (Ulmus americana) and slippery elm (U. rubra).

Description: Low hanging branches, smaller tree, understory covered by some oaks.
Associated species: weetgum (Liquidambar styraciflua), flowering dogwood (Cornus florida), elms (Ulmus spp.), eastern redcedar (Juniperus virginiana), hickories (Carya spp.), and American beech (Fagus grandifolia).

Description: Full foliage, straight trunk, 12-15 feet tall.

Description:14-18 feet. Straight trunk, even foliage and branch distribution at top.

Description: Small size tree, very even foliage, uniform distribution of branches.
Associated species: water oak (Quercus nigra), red maple (Acer rubrum), cedar elm (Ulmus crassifolia), eastern cottonwood (Populus deltoides), honeylocust (Gleditsia triacanthos), persimmon (Diospyros uirginiana).
