Observations by cheetah_wild_dog

Lizard found amoungst rocks 200 metres outside Kilimanaro National Park. Sometimes looked golden, sometimes green from afar. Able to flatten itself out when basking.

snake in a vertical-sided concrete drainage box. Keen to know if this is a watery snake, or needs to be fished out. And will it survive when the drain box dries out.

A tree in Arusha, Tanzania but perhaps not native?

Sorry for poor photo. I guessed this is a monitor lizard of a kind - amongst the rocks of a large stream outside Arusha town. Length c. 35-40cm. Spots were yellow but photo looks more black and white.

chameleon about to be eaten by a spotted eagle-owl in our garden. Habitat is grass and fruit trees. Photo is poor quality but hope someone might be able to give a better id ??

Beautiful female perched about 1/2 metres off the ground and unfazed by our noisy presence stumbling past.

Flock of egrets roosting within Jijiga town.

Flock of about 25 ibis flew in to roost in town centre around 6pm amidst a massive wave of Black Kites circling over the city.
