These wasps were quite small and the nest almost went unnoticed until I was about to lean on a tree and noticed some minute motion... The nest was quite flat, about the size of a baseball and almost looked plastered onto the side of the tree, with only a single, dime-sized opening that the wasps moved in and out of.
