On Paddy's Track below Bushline Hut, Mt Robert, Lake Rotoiti, Nelson Lakes. I think he'd been stood on, poor thing. He was alive, but didn't move when I got closer to him. He was in the middle of the track, so I moved him to the side in the hope he'd recover. It wasn't till I looked at the photo that I saw the blood on the rocks. Hope he's OK!

A falcon swooped from a tree and pinned one of our ducks to the ground in thick scrub (gorse, blackberry). We suspect the falcon has killed the other ducks as well, as the other two have not come back to their enclosure.
No photos - too busy trying to save the ducks!

A pair of Canada Geese seem to be living at Lake Angelus. They were there the previous evening as well, and based on their dried scat around the lake have been there for a while. Didn't get a photo though.
