Lime Hawkmoth (Mimas tiliae)

Description

A large pink and green camouflaged moth perched on an Iris leaf. The property was alongside the river Thames and the moth was incredibly irresponsive to my presence. There are three River Birches surrounding the boarded container the Iris. Recently one of the Birch trees had an infestation of yellow necked caterpillars.

Description

This large hairy spider has a reddish base to its abdomen. It was about 30mm long and found in a flower bed.
