When it was being observed, it stood perfectly still, then it soon darted away.
I am not sure of the elevation of the location of the sighting.

Eastern Gray Squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis)Observer
dasha2001Description
This squirrel was found at around 1:50pm EST. It was close to an area with trees and bushes, and it was close to a creek, a bridge, and a path. (I do not know the names of the creek or the small path.) The creek, bridge, and path were in a mixed forest near a residential area, therefore, so was the specimen. The squirrel was caught running to and from a tree, eating a nut, and running to the safety of a bush. (I am not sure of the elevation of the place where the squirrel was found.)
What
Eastern Cottontail (Sylvilagus floridanus)Observer
dasha2001Description
I saw this specimen in a clearing near some bushes and a small path at around 1:20pm EST. The specimen was also very close to a house. It was munching on grass, and moving around a little bit. While it moved around, it was either on, or extremely close to the path. (I am not sure of the name of the path.) It stood still-ish for the picture, then hopped away when it felt that I was too close. I am not sure of the gender or age of this specimen. It looked pretty healthy. (I am not sure of the elevation of the place where the specimen was spotted.)

Virginia White-tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus ssp. virginianus)Observer
dasha2001Description
While walking on a back path that I am not sure the name of, I crossed a bridge that went over a small creek. I am not sure what the creek's name is either. Right there in the creek, at around 2:45pm EST, was a doe just wading and watching me curiously while I was observing her. She seemed pretty healthy, and did not mind that I was taking a bunch of pictures of her. She stood extremely still, and eventually walked into the bushes, where still standing almost completely still, she let me take a few more pictures of her. She was solitary. (I am not sure of the elevation of the place where I spotted the specimen.)

The two healthy-looking deer were on a path near the woods, a creek, and a residential area, eating grass together. They would occasionally look up curiously, then keep eating. They allowed me to get pretty close. I assume that they are young males, because they had short, velvety antlers. They ran into the woods when I got a little too close.
I am not sure of the elevation or trail mile marker for this observation.
