Short to no tail, fat, waddling, about a foot tall and almost 2 long, maybe 20-40lbs, ugly, face of a beaver

Has nodes and grows tall and wild in bunches, not sure of specific species id on which grass.

Up in tree, small version of a sword fern, but smells like licorice.

Round cross-section, like a long fencing sword. And comes to point, almost like a long needle, couple feet tall and found in and near water.

A couple feet tall, branches with a bunch of compound sword fern-like leaflets.

Looks like a bunch of swords or a hedge trimmer blade. Green leaflets with brown stem.
