When we went to check the other monitoring equipment we came back and saw more marks. They were on the wax tag.
The marks were deep and wide scrape marks. They were on the top and the bottom and inline with each other.

What
Old World Rats (Genus Rattus)Observer
egbackyardbioDescription
We think these marks on our wax tag are the teeth marks of a large rodent like a rat or hedgehog. They are too large to be a mouse and seem to be made by two "nibbling" teeth in one bite. There are similar marks on the top and bottom of the wax tag that make us think this was a large rodent that took one bite, scraping its teeth (top and bottom jaw) on the top and bottom of the tag.
What
Human (Homo sapiens)Observer
egbackyardbioDescription
We think the prints in this photo are actually human fingerprints. Our track tunnel is in the junior playground and we think the junior children have been investigating the trap and made some marks.
We are curious about the small marks because they seem to have some white dots on them that we can't explain.
