Red-eared Slider (Trachemys scripta ssp. elegans)Observer
eliz_kliggeDescription
Was walking across an area where mulch is made from yard waste toward a stream that has a pond on the other side.
Saw yellow stripes on head. Red ears have faded away, but the steepness of the shell says slider rather than painted turtle.

Perching Birds (Order Passeriformes)Observer
eliz_kliggeDescription
Pale blue egg looks like it may have faded somewhat. Based on size, shape, general color category, and habitat, I'm guessing it's either a catbird or robin. Not pointed enough for a wood thrush. The color is just throwing me off.
Found on the ground on an agricultural/deciduous forested lakeside property. Appears to have been predated by a bird.
