Observations by firephly83

I saw this snake slowly moving across the bottom of a river. It was the strangest thing. When I came back with my phone it was resting on the edge of the river with the tail in the water. At first I thought it was an eastern ribbon snake but I don't see vertical white lines by the eyes so I'm pretty sure it's just a large garter snake. It is a close to 3 feet long and prob an inch and a half around.
