What
Vermilion Flycatcher (Pyrocephalus rubinus)Observer
gaffiDescription
Behavior - Resting
Habitat - Peri-urban
Additional comments? - I'm not great at identifying birds, and I'm not confident about this particular ID. This bird (or others like it) have only been around the last few weeks, and I only recall seeing them in this area on a very small number instances in the past. They are very flighty and hard to photograph. I've only ever seen one at any time.
Nest present - No

What
Painted Lady (Vanessa cardui)Observer
gaffiDescription
Field Notes - There were a few of these guys flying around, but I was only able to get a shot of this one. The hind wings were damaged/missing, but it still seemed able to fly and get around without much trouble.
