Pale Dun (Ephemerella dorothea)Observer
gmetrasDescription
This small Sulphur flew upward past me as I waded and I was able to touch it enough to knock it to the water from where I lifted it by a finger and photographed it, then bottled it.
There were no rises to the few Sulphur that hatched. There were few insects of any kind, though some mosquitoes and tiny midges.
I caught and released 2 rainbow trout 14", 16" and 2 brook trout 6", 8", 1 on a #12 and 2 on #14 foam ant pattern, and the 4th on a Y2K BH white + gold.

This specimen was photographed on a tree trunk at water's edge as I was leaving the river.

Brook trout, from 3-14", were continuing to be actively spawning and holding on their redds, with larger rainbow trout holding behind the redds and circling abound them.

Perhaps a Blue Wing Olive, Ephemerellidae, drunella, judging from its size, 6-7 mm, and its 3 tails, oliveish legs, brown-olive-tannish-gray body. Captured Wednesday, October 5, 2016, 11:00.
What
Mayflies (Order Ephemeroptera)Observer
gmetrasDescription
Captured about 10:30. Hook size about 20-22. At first I thought this was a Tiny Olive, but it has 3 tails, so not Baetidae. Maybe BWO? But Oct. 3 is rather late to hatch.
Need help with ID.
