Description

Woody plant about 2 ft tall. Stem slightly flat to edged with papery winglike extensions along the stem in some sections. Leaves opposite and strongly rolled under along the margins which are entire. The top of the leaf is dark green while the underside is white to light green with a raised yellow midrib.

Floating leaf found in about 3.5 feet of standing water. Leaf was green to brown with margins entire except for slight tearing and a long slit up the back where the stalk attached to the leaf blade. Midrib slightly raised on the under side of the leaf.
