What

California Mule Deer (Odocoileus hemionus ssp. californicus)

Observer

Date

Description

They were creeping into the trees in my backyard, as soon as they saw me, they ran away from fear.Although they seem to be scared, if they see you from a distance they don't instantly run, they actually stop and stare. They always seem to be traveling with their pact, I rarely ever see them alone. However, when they run from fear, I notice they don't usually run in the same direction, each deer takes its own path. They run very fast uphill, almost seems as if they appear to be weightless.
