It looked like it had just eclosed from the pupa. There are few big Formosan Sweet Gum trees (Liquidambar formosana) in the area. But their leaves are almost all fallen and dried. Temperature was cool in the past few weeks, the day this moth was observed was around 16-24°C, quite warm and very good sunshine before and during the time it came out of the pupa.
