Almost mistaken for a American Goldfinch, the only reason this bird was recognized was the fact the it sang, which distinguished it from the others.

We didn't even notice until the two specimens hooted to each other. The closest one was well camouflaged and was nearly indistinguishable from the pine trees.

Individual Crows could be seen throughout the woods. Each crow was seen flying and the sound of Crows cawing were a constant source of background noise.

A few were seen flying at one of the more clear trails. One flew past and climbed a few trees. Others were heard, their cries audible from a distance.

One was nearly mistaken for a Downy Woodpecker, but with a closer look at it while it was making a hole in a tree revealed a speckled back.

A pair was seen flying around the canopies. They landed on a few trees and pecked at them and one of them was making their cry.

At a trail the Goldfinches were fluttering around distant trees. The birds could be distinguished due to the yellow feathers. After they were left behind the call of these birds were a constant.

Some were seen pecking on some Hickory trees in the woods. In some areas their cry allowed them to be tracked down.

Small groups fluttered through the trees and reacted to the groups presence. The chick-a-dee call could be heard throughout the woods.

The bright red bird could be seen in the trees around the forest. The distinct Cardinal cry could be heard all over the forest.

Gulls were constantly flying around the forest. At the edges, they could be seen flying. Their cry could be heard commonly throughout the wooded areas.

Admittedly I was not able to see one. The cry of the bird was heard though, but it did not react to any of the recording played so it either was just passing or was not territorial at the moment.

One was seen right after catching a fish. It's flight was a little awkward due to the fish in its talons, but the bird soon escaped view.

After seeing a song sparrow, a Downy Woodpecker appeared. It was flying to and from the trees. Its pik was heard multiple times while it was not visible, though I do not believe I heard its cry.

While only one was spotted the distinct three notes were heard throughout the forested area. There were at least three areas where the cry was more prominent than the rest of the background noise.
