An emergence of Edith's Checkerspots were flitting across the road from 5-10 miles uphill from Golden, CO. I saw maybe 10 dead on the road. The living ones I saw had a tendency to perch on the reflective white fog line, perhaps increasing their sensitivity to being run over.
