Found in seed cluster of some Chives, (smaller relative of onion) that I found in a clearing.
About 1/2 inch, (1.3 mm) across. It seemed kind of slow moving but always assumed an attack posture with it's front legs raised when I moved my finger close to it.
A very common spider in this area. The abdomen is a light creamy grey color. They are about 3/4 inch,(2 mm) across the span of their legs. They appear to hunt and move like some kind of wolf spider. They have no web but they do distribute themselves as hatchlings via a long single strand of web floating through the air in the spring here in Interior Alaska near the little village of Nenana
Found in interior Alaska on a Lambs Quarter plant.
Thanks "Charlie" for identifying this for me!
Aka Lambsquarter, Pigweed & Chenopodium Album. Found in interior Alaska in small open area in tioga forest on side of hill.
