The pictures are slightly graphic. The cause of death is unknown but it was obviously fed on after death. I seems as though it was attacked.

Smooth moss with long and hairy like strands. Very thick.

Light green plant about 6 inches in diameter. There is a hair-like growth on many of the leaves. When touched, the hair-like stuctures feel very sharp and prickly.

Growing on a log in large patches. Very dry with light green tint.
