Description

Picea sp. is an gymnosperm, or better know as a coniferous tree. It's height is about 25-30ft and its spread is 8-10 feet on average. It has dark brown, hard, rough bark and its trunk measures 8-12 inches across. It has hard, sharp, green needles. It is able to perform photosynthesis year round.

Description

Populus tremuloides is a single stem deciduous tree with the green colored broad, heart-shaped leaves. The leaves of the tree have serrated edges and the bark is smooth, thin and light tan/gray in colour. There are eight individuals that make up the population of sample area six. They measure 16 to 20 feet high and have a 8 to 10 foot spread on average, with a trunk diameter of approximately 8 inches. Populus tremuloides is part of the Plantae kingdom, Pinopsida class, Pinales order, Pinaceae family, Picea genus, and species Populus tremuloides.
