The Oscillatoria were seen as floating mucilaginous mats less than 5 cm long. You can see these small floating Oscillatoria balls in the image with the paddle boats.
The rest of the lake was also experiencing a Microcystis bloom, which is the bright green algae seen in the last image.

On the right side of the photo along the reeds there were small growths of the cyanobacteria Anabaena. The cyanobacteria seems to be growing in mats of decaying Cladophora algae that have been pushed up against the bank by winds and current. In the shallow parts of this pool the water was about 5 degrees C warmer than the river. You can see people swimming upstream in the deeper swimming hole.

Green algae of the order Zygnematales is growing on the smaller cobbles just upstream of the 162 bridge at Outlet Creek. There are also many incipient growths of Nostoc about 0.5 cm in diameter. Water temp was ~22C.
