Not quire on Marsh Island. This little fellow was climbing a Bigleaf Maple tree growing several feet from the walking path. This squirrel had a white underbelly and chest, the rest of its fur was grey, with white strands of fur mixed in on the bushy tail.

Mostly consisting of bright red, slightly decurved caps growing several inches in diameter. Some of the caps had brownish white gills, where others had a more orange tint to them. The caps were smooth and moist, striate and undulating around the edges. Each white stem was missing a ring and had a scabrous texture.

No flowers were seen on but the large green pads dominated the shores. Large circular floating leaves with a thing green stem connecting the leaf to the lake bottom. Some pads have a slit from the center to the outer edge, making the plant look like a green pacman.
