Heard steady, slow drumming onto tree bark. It was difficult to capture a photograph. I think I spotted more than one. I thought I saw red in at least one of the bird's head, but the photos don't show this. Had white strip down back. It was quite noisy and quite beautiful. This is a great place for birding.
