Found on the ground underneath cedar and vine maple trees, next to a creek. Thallus is attached to a piece of bark and is gray/green with black apothecia rising above the thallus like little bumps. When cut in half, the base of the apothecia is bright red.

Found on a rotting log on the side of a trail on the S side of the log, next to bryophytes and other crustose lichens.
The thallus is minty green and powdery in appearance, with light pink/orange apothecia ranging from 1-4mm dotting its surface.

The thallus is gray and smooth with orange/pink apothecia that are aproxamately 1-3 mm wide. Apothecia are rimmed with a cream color.

Crustose lichen, 2 x 3 cm on a piece of bark. Found under gary oak trees on the ground. Thallus is gray and covered in granular soredia.

Green Reindeer Lichen (Cladonia arbuscula ssp. mitis)Observer

Reindeer Lichen. Found growing at Mima Mounds near the base of a mound on the NE side. The patch was approximately 3x4 ft.
Thallus is light green/gray and branched on the ends.

Small flat body covered with little hairs. There is a central ridge running along the main branches and stems. There are also various round raised spots on the body (gemmae?) The patch was found on a yew tree at Opal Creek, growing among other bryophytes and lichens. The patch was extensive on the truck of the tree, growing on the N and NW sides of the trunk.
The cells are varied and not uniform. 3-4 chloroplasts per cell.
