Cap is 13 cm when mature, whitish when young, darkening to gray-brown when older. Feels soft. Some reddish stains from age? Younger ones stain yellow when cut on caps. No stain on stems. Stem up to 14cm long. Skirt-like annulus about 5/6 up the stem on all but youngest specimen. Stem white on young, darkening to gray-brown streaks. No volva but stem widens near base. Stem doesn't smell too notable. Spore print brown.
