This is the standard escaped house duck in Perth. They interbreed with wild birds and get mottled feathers, like Black and Tan. Not sure the accurate name.

This is the beautiful little wetland next to Eric Singleton Bird Sanctuary (which has no wetland) threatened by private development. The community is putting up a massive fight and may actually succeed in protecting it. Part has already been lost (you can see cut stumps of paperbark trees). The city of Bayswater has less than 10% of its original wetlands left and at least some of it must be worth fighting for. Such a beautiful peaceful shaded spot with lovely pathway so it can really be experienced. A joy to visit.
