Description

This tree is approximately 6.5 to 7 feet tall, and was found in a mostly shady habitat in Hudson OH. This tree has a slim trunk that is dark brown with hints of red. The tree itself has small, prickly needles that range from 3 inches to 5.5 inches long. These dark green needles grow around a small bud that looked to be a premature pinecone.

Description

This tree was fairly recently planted and was about 3 or 4 feet tall. It was found in a partly sunny environment in Hudson OH and shows signs of healthy growth. This tree had a thin trunk that was a beige or light brown color. It is ever green and has needles that ranged form .5 inches to .75 inches long. There were some early signs of pinecones on the tree as seen in the images. The leaves were somewhat prickly, but manageable.

Description

This tree was found in a sunny habitat in Summit county in OH. This tree is 2 stories tall and has a rather small trunk for its size. Its bark is a dark red and brown color and looks to be easy to peel. This tree had needles that are gymnosperms as seen in the images. The composite needles grow in an alternate pattern with 4 to 5 needles on each stem. On the end of some needles, there were small beige dots which could possibly be premature pinecones.

This tree was located in Hudson OH in a shady environment. The tree is approximately 1 story tall. This tree has a light brown trunk, and the bark looks like it could be peeled off easily. The leaves of this tree are a dark green with splotches of light green between the offset veins. The leaves are simple and have an entire leaf margin. The tree also has small white and pink flowers. The leaves are fairly large and are around 4 inches long and 1.5-2 inches wide.

This tree is approximately 8 feet tall in a partly shady and partly sunny habitat. The tree was found in Summit County, OH. It has leaves growing in an opposite pattern that range from 1.5 inches to 3 inches long. The leaves are a green, red color with a slightly lighter shade of green on the back. The leaves are simple, with one main vein and a coarsely serrate margin. There was no presence of a milky liquid, but the tree did have small, firm, red fruits as depicted in one of the images. The bark is slightly red and can peel easily as well.
