Sunburst Anemone (Anthopleura sola)Observer
ortiz_jDescription
At the bottom of the tide pools are, what I think to be, commonly known as sea anemones that look like a flower. However there are predatory animals. There is slight yellow green color to them and somewhat blue. The tentacles were able to detect something close, and I saw it move in response to, for example, a crab grasping it while it moves along to hide from me photographing it.

Harbor Seal (Phoca vitulina)Observer
ortiz_jDescription
Two marine mammals soaking in the sun on the rocks by abalone and sacred cove. They were pretty large in size, maybe about 4-5 ft long and "heavy looking". Brown and grey in color. The one on the right had spots on it. The snout was not as pronounced... Ear flaps not visible... Seals ?
What
Black Tegula (Tegula funebralis)Observer
ortiz_jDescription
I saw a few, of what looked like, little black snails with white and rusty orange brown colors about the size of ping pong ball in one of many tide pools in the area.
What
Western Gull (Larus occidentalis)Observer
ortiz_jDescription
A gull, commonly referred to as a seagull, was spotted standing on a rock. It was a medium size bird, maybe the size of a 2 liter bottle. It was white (mainly head and body) and grey (mainly on feathers) in color with some black marking on the tail end feathers. The bird's feet looked to be webbed, and it had a pretty long beak. There were a lot around the cove... Not necessarily bothered, or easily scared, by humans.
