Cotton Stainer Bugs (Genus Dysdercus)Observer
patricklatourDescription
[Français plus bas.]
I put them in the Family Cleridae, but I am really not sure. Here are the important points:
1-) You can see 3 different individuals, smallest ones are all red, larger ones are red with 2 black dots on the back, and the largest are red with 2 black triangles on the back. Different stages (juvenile, adult)? Gender? They all have whites spots on the antennas.
2-) They were working inside a rotten fruit, on the edge on the mangrove and the beach, 3 meters of the sea, at low tide.
3-) They only walk and do not fly at all.
4-) Morning, in the shadows, clear sky, 28 Celsius.
